ETSY

I have re-listed my items on my Etsy account. At the moment, I only have 2 items: pet portraits and Christmas mice. Hopefully, I will be able to get a few bites with these. I have sold a few things on Etsy but there is just so much talent up there! Its so hard (nearly impossible) to stand out among all of those fabulous artists!! Wish me luck.....

Deck the Walls!!

Last year, I had the priviledge of participating in a Christmas sale in Greenville. It was wonderful. There were so many wonderful things there. Jewelry, paintings, towels, pillows, gingerbread houses....and a million more things. I am lucky that I have been invited back this year. I have already begun working on a number of things for the sale. One of the main things I'm working on are Christmas Creatures. They are adorable hand made mice, reindeer, elephants and even giraffes. I'm also working on monkeys....but the are going to need a bit more finesse. I have sewn their bodies and outfits by hand. I won't admit how long I spend on each one. I hope the people at the sale enjoy them as much a I do!

Blessings

I have not updated this blog in a long time. Partly because my computer had been out of sorts all summer. Partly because I'm still not sure anybody actually even reads this thing. At any rate, my computer has been fixed and I suppose it can't hurt to post on here...even if I'm the only one reading it.
I had the great pleasure today to participate in a photo shoot done by one of my most favorite people in the world: Bryan Ham. He is an incredible photographer and an even more incredible friend. After looking through the 400 (yes, I did say 400) photos that he took of me and my 2 noble steeds, I began to think about how lucky I am. When I was a little girl, I would ask God, Santa, Mom, Dad, Grandma and pretty much anyone else for a pony. 29 years later, I have 2 of them. And they are wonderful. Although I spend roughly 90 percent of my time being broke and taking care of them, they are completely worth it. I love them both with all my heart. They truly are a blessing within my life. I'm so thankful to be able to have them. So, since they are so wonderful and I now have these phenomenal photos of them, I am going to paint a portrait of each of them. I'm very excited and will post photos of the paintings as soon as I finnish!
