I'm Baaaaack!!

Wow! This is my first time posting on this blog as Blaire NICHOLS!!! So exciting!!! After the craziness of camp and then the wedding, things are finally getting back to normal. I'm working my bottom off trying to catch up on all the paintings that I need to finish. I'm also trying to crank out stuff for the annual Christmas Sale in Greenville (which is at the end of this month!!!). Whew!!! I shipped out a painting earlier this week and it was my first one since getting married. I had to work on a new signature with BN!!! I love it! So lucky and happy to be back to work with two jobs that I love and have a husband that I absolutely adore! He supports me in more ways than I can count. I am so thankful for him!!! Ok, enough of the sappy stuff.... Here's the new painting with the new signature! Woot woot! And just saying, how cute is this dalmation!?!? The parents are fans of ECU so we went for a Pirate-tastic background.
LOTS and LOTS more postings will be arriving from now on! Mark your calendars for the Art Sale in Greenville at the end of this month!!!! So happy to be BACK!

Customer of the Year

Its always so nice to have repeat customers with my work. Every now and then, you have one of those customers who repeats more than once. And then theres Beth. My dear friend who has ordered more paintings from me than I can count. This year, many of her Christmas gifts were from small businesses. She did that on purpose, making a point to support local small businesses. She is one of my best friends and I love her dearly. So, the Customer of the Year Award goes to: Beth Bengala!!!!! Thank you for all of your support, encouragement and ideas! You're the best!!! Here are a few of the paintings Beth gave as Christmas presents this year:
This was one of my favorites this year. I love painting on silk, but rarely do it. It seems like most customers prefer acrylic on canvas. I participated in an art sale in Greenville, NC in October. Beth's mom Debby saw this painting and really wanted it. Beth surprised her with it for Christmas. Of course, she loved it. Makes me SO happy when people enjoy my work.
Thanks again for supporting me Beth! Love you!

Agility Spaniels!

Here is another great example of my 'Great photo = Great painting' concept. My friend Strickland ordered some paintings for a gift for his mom. How adorable is this dog??

Holy Cow its 2013!!!

Our internet went out at our home a few months ago. I could have taken my computer to somewhere with free wifi, but in all honesty I felt it was a bit of a hassle. SO, now that we have internet again at home I can blog the day away.... 2012 was a great year for 'Blaire Cannon Paintings.' I am so blessed to have so many new customers ordering items all of the time! I am even more blessed to have so many returning customers. It makes me feel so good to know that so many people like my work. I have HUGE plans for my itty bitty 'company' that are in the works. I won't say too much now, but I will have a big announcement coming soon. Here are a few paintings from last year (gah, that sounds odd). Thanks for viewing!

Kelsey and Metoo

I love doing paintings for friends. And I really love when those dogs are rescues! These two sweet girls belong to my neighbor from back home. They are very lucky to have been adopted by such wonderful people. Thanks so much for ordering these Bethann!!!

Brix

My sweet friend Mary ordered a painting of her black lab from me. His name is Brix and he is oh so handsome!! She requested a red background to match his collar. I'm so glad she did! I think the bright color really makes him POP.

Thanks so much for ordering this Mary! You're awesome!
