This cute puppy belongs to my cousins. For Christmas, their dad wanted to give them each a painting of him. So the look very similar except for the background. It was interesting to try to paint the same dog two times in a row.

The year of labs

This year I have lost count how many labs I have painted. I always enjoy painting them because they have the best expressions. They're wonderful!!

Dicey

This handsome fella is named Dicey. We get to borrow him every summer from a lovely lady in Charleston, South Carolina. I painted this portrait of him and sent it to her as a "thank you" for lending him to us.

This little darling is Mandi. Is she not the CUTEST little thing you've ever seen??? I used this portrait as one of my example paintings in Brevard at a show and had 3 people who wanted to buy it. Its not even their dog! Haha...shes just that cute.

New Addition!!!

I have just recently bought a second horse!!!! Horses have always been the root of all inspiration for my artwork. I can't wait to spend more time with my newest horse. His name is Truman and he's a retired racehorse. I love him very much already and I think that Redford is slowly becoming a fan of him. Now I just have to practice my newest mantra: "I do not need another horse....I do not need another horse...."
I am so blessed to have both of my boys and such a wonderful place to keep them. Life is really good these days. Hopefully I can continue selling artwork since now I have another very large mouth to feed!!!

Christmas Sale

Thank you to everybody that came to the art sale in Greenville!! It was a TREMENDOUS success!!! I was thrilled with how much art I sold. It was also wonderful to see so many old friends. New pictures soon to come....

Quite often in my life, I forget how lucky I actually am. My New Year's resolution is simple: to be thankful every day for life's precious gifts, memories, places,people and love. Happy New Year. Hope 2010 is a year filled with wonderful things!!!
